Shares of Health Management Associates (NYSE: HMA ) , one of the larger for-profit hospital operators in the country, dropped Monday after a controversial segment aired on 60 Minutes last night. The company issued a statement ahead of the episode and is currently facing investigation over the questionable practices highlighted during the show.
